Democrats release emails from billionaire Epstein mentioning Trump, but White House says they only prove his innocence.
Democrats on November 12 released emails that billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein sent to author Michael Wolff and Ghislaine Maxwell, an accomplice serving a 20-year prison sentence. In a 2019 email to Wolff, Epstein wrote that Trump “knew about girls,” though it was unclear what that meant.
In another 2019 email, Epstein wrote that Trump “came to my house many times” and “never gave me a massage.” Democrats also released a 2011 text message from Epstein to Maxwell, describing Trump as “very private,” adding that he “spent hours” at Epstein’s home with a woman later identified as a victim of sexual abuse.

The US president accused Democrats of releasing the emails to distract from the record 43-day government shutdown.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt also condemned Democrats for removing the victim’s name from the released emails. According to Ms. Leavitt, the person Epstein said Mr. Trump spent hours with was Virginia Giuffre. The victim committed suicide in April and in her memoir praised Mr. Trump as friendly, without accusing him of any wrongdoing.
“These emails only add to the assertion that President Trump did nothing wrong,” Ms. Leavitt emphasized.
Mr. Trump and Epstein were friends but fell out in 2004 over a real estate deal. The US president denied ever visiting the billionaire pedophile’s home in the Virgin Islands, where the crimes took place. Mr. Trump insisted he had no knowledge of Epstein’s illegal activities.
Epstein, born in 1953, was arrested in New York in July 2019 on charges of luring dozens of minors, some as young as 14, and having sex with them. The businessman faces 45 years in prison if convicted.
Epstein denied all charges and was held in a Manhattan jail in New York. However, while awaiting trial, Epstein hanged himself in his cell in August 2019.
