US First Lady Melania Trump has just announced the formation of a new film production company called Muse Films and revealed the $40 million documentary ‘Melania’ on Amazon.
According to People, on November 28 (local time), US First Lady Melania Trump revealed the establishment of a film production company called Muse Films in a post on X. This name is said to be inspired by the code name “Muse” that the US Secret Service once gave her.
Along with this announcement, Mrs. Melania also mentioned the documentary Melania, which will be exclusively released in theaters worldwide on January 30, 2026.
What is special about Mrs. Melania Trump’s $40 million documentary?
It is worth noting that this information was announced quite modestly compared to the usual style of Trump family members, who often organize lavish events for new projects or openings. Mrs. Melania Trump is often present at events and ribbon-cutting ceremonies with her husband, President Donald Trump.
There are currently two companies using the Muse Films name: one is Amazon’s European subsidiary, and the other is an American company that has produced films such as The Virgin Suicides, American Psycho and Spring Breakers. It is unclear whether Melania Trump’s new company will be affiliated with any of them or will be completely independent.
Muse Films’ only current project is the documentary Melania, which Amazon MGM Studios will distribute after paying $40 million for the rights. The deal comes close to the start of Trump’s second term and just as Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is set to attend the inauguration.

The deal also gives Amazon the rights to a series of films following the main film. Melania will be directed by Brett Ratner, marking his first film since being accused of sexual harassment by several women, including Olivia Munn and Natasha Henstridge.
